How backing the winner in the 3pm at Newbury on Saturday could land you £1MILLION

LET’S face it, 2020 has been a complete write off – but 2021 could be an absolute cracker!

COVID-19 vaccines are arriving just in time so you can hug your gran at Christmas and £1MILLION could land in your bank account on New Year’s Day.

That’s because Paddy Power have launched a bumper sweepstake called the Millionaire Chase that will make one lucky entrant – you guessed it – a millionaire on New Year’s Day.

The winning horse’s backer in the New Year’s Day race will take home the bumper top prize of £1m, but all other entrants will all pocket £10,000 just for getting into the final – not a bad way to consign 2020 to the past!

The horses may be taking on the hurdles, but there’s no giant leaps required to enter their competition.

SEVEN THINGS YOU COULD BUY WITH PADDY POWER’S £1m

Everyone’s got a chance to win the top prize – and the next opportunity to get involved takes place this weekend.

To be in with a chance of landing the £1m you have to back the winning horse in the 3pm race at Newbury on Saturday.

Entry is simple. All you need to do is create an account or log in via Paddy’s app or at paddypower.com, then, OPT IN to the competition and back the winner in the qualifying race.

If you nail all that then you’re in the hat for the weekly draw which is streamed live on Paddy Power’s social channels to reveal who has drawn the next horse in the Millionaire Chase sweepstake.

Not sure who to back? Well, legendary jockey Ruby Walsh, Irish racing legend Mick Fitzgerald and the big man himself Mr Patrick Power have revealed their top tips for the race.

RUBY WALSH: Aye Right

The 7-year-old only has 11 stone on his back and I think he really could be improving.

I don’t think he has to make the running, he’s a very good jumper. He can sit behind the pace and wait till the straight, maybe the third last ditch. AYE RIGHT is unexposed and well in against Vinndication.

PADDY POWER: Black Op

I was between two horses for this – Aye Right and Black Op – the second and third favourites. I’m going to go with BLACK OP for this. He looks quite well-handicapped with 11st and it will feel like he’s going around with nothing on his back!

MICK FITZGERALD: The Conditional

The talking horse is Vinndication and I have no doubt if Newbury was a right-handed track he would be a good thing. Running left-handed though is a huge disadvantage to him. I’ll side with THE CONDITIONAL as his trainer is very good at getting them ready first time up.
